zkanji v0.591 released, but…

…only for Vista and Win 7. No, this is not a feature, this is a bug. I will have to look into it but not today, and probably not tomorrow either. If you have one of those systems, it is safe to download the latest zkanji, but otherwise stay with v0.59. The zkanji page at SourceForge will keep pointing to that old version, but if you need the latest one already, you can grab it from here.

UPDATE: I couldn’t wait and had to fix this annoying bug. The updated v0.591 should work on XP as well. (It was tested on one.) You can get the latest version from the zkanji page on SourceForge.

Great! zkanji works in wine again. Thank you!
There is just one small issue. Windows positions aren’t saved. Versions before .590 worked good.

It does for me. Have you checked the settings? I think that there was a point between versions where the settings were lost but I can’t remember exactly why. It’s possible that I’m misunderstanding something too. I only checked the normal/maximized state of the main window its position and the position of the kanji info window. Haven’t tried others.

I’ve tried resizing long-term study window, but it goes backs to default after closing/opening again. “Remember window stated” in long-term study settings and “Restore last window positions” in global settings are checked.
Btw, i use awesomeWM. May be it isn’t zkanji problem?

I haven’t tried the long-term study window before, and after a little experimenting I found that it really doesn’t remember its size. But only if you resize it from the bottom, right or bottom-right. Every other edge seem to work. This is not a bug as such because it works fine under Windows, but it’s still very strange. I will try to fix this if its possible.
